Portland Committee on Community-Based Policing (PCCEP) is hosting a community forum, Brain Injuries, Policing and Public Safety on June 26, 6-8:30 p.m., at The Melody Event Center, 615 Southeast Alder Street, Portland. Dinner will be provided.

This forum was planned in partnership with Brain Injury Connection Northwest, a local advocacy and resource organization for people with brain injuries.

The speakers/panelists include:

  • Dr. Andy Ellis – local Neuropsychologist
  • Stephanie Grayce - brain injury survivor and member of the Supreme Court Council for Inclusion and Fairness, Multnomah County Justice Fellow
  • Jonathan Boland - brain injury survivor, clemency recipient, strength and conditioning coach 
  • David Kracke – Center on Brain Injury Research & Training, brain injury advocate coordinator, brain injury policy maker

The audience will participate in discussion, brainstorming, solutions and relationship building.

Anyone with an interest in policing and criminal justice reform, disability rights and community safety are encouraged to attend.
