Linfield University Hosts “a Night With Syncopated Ladies”

McMINNVILLE, Ore. — Sept. 22, 2022 — They have elevated the art of tap dance through “fierce footwork and female force,” and on Oct. 5, Chloe Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies will raise the roof of Linfield University’s Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium.

The Los Angeles-based female tap dance band comes to Linfield for a one-night-only performance at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. “A Night with Syncopated Ladies” will feature a 30-minute tap performance followed by a 30-minute talkback session.

“This group has revolutionized and modernized the concept of tap dancing, and we’re extremely happy to be hosting them,” said Scott Bernard Nelson, Linfield’s chief marketing officer and associate vice president. “It’s an example of the type of ground-breaking public event we hope to bring increasingly to our campuses in the months and years ahead.”

Syncopated Ladies' viral videos have amassed more than 100 million views. They have worked with Beyonce, the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance,” Good Morning America and at sold-out performances nationwide. This is the group’s only scheduled appearance in the Pacific Northwest in 2022.
